Deep technical investigation into engineering problems that matter. Distinct from writings (essays and arguments) and projects (built artifacts), this section hosts research corpora, which are sustained, multi-document investigations of specific technical domains.
The first corpus, Matter Compilation (March 2026), is 13 documents on building arbitrary physical structures with atomic precision. The second, Territorial Engineering (April 2026), is 16 essays on when building new coastline is a sensible response to a real constraint. It was rewritten in July 2026, and the original edition is still available.
Territorial Engineering
Sixteen essays on building new coastline. The Port of Rotterdam built Maasvlakte 2, more than 2,000 hectares in the North Sea, because it was short of large deep-water industrial sites.
