Project management SaaS: a fresh take that didn't survive contact with incumbents

Everyone builds a project management tool at some point. The pitch writes itself: “Asana is bloated, Linear is for engineers, Notion is a database pretending to be a planner, ours is [adjective].” The market is already a graveyard and I walked in anyway.

The thesis: Most PM tools are built for people who like PM tools. There’s a larger audience who hate them and just want the task out of their head and into someone else’s queue with minimum friction. Design for the people who close the tab immediately after using it.

What was built: Working app at zyrapm.com with login, project setup, and team collaboration flows.

Why it’s parked: I didn’t need the product myself. I manage work across CLI, memory files, and an agent fleet. Building a category-entry SaaS without being the target user is a known failure mode. Parked without regret.
